Kirkcudbright 2000 - Summer Art Exhibitions

Kirkcudbright 2000 was established in 1999 with the vision of establishing a major art gallery in Kirkcudbright to reflect the town’s importance in Scottish art history. Since 2000 the group have hosted art exhibitions of the highest quality in Kirkcudbright Town Hall to promote this aim, attracting thousands of visitors. The summer exhibition, with others comprising the ‘Kirkcudbright Art Season’, is now recognised as a ‘Beacon Event’ in the region. In 2008, the group hosts a first class exhibition of Scottish Portraits from the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh.
